A 3X3 HAT LEAGUE TO EMPOWER GIRLS & WOMEN
The Here 2 Stay 3×3 Hat League is designed to encourage female athletes to stay in sport and have fun! We are intentionally designing opportunities for athletes to play with new teammates and try new skills in a friendly, yet competitive environment. Athletes will be empowered to officiate and score their own games. We are encouraging athletes to develop leadership skills, while building self-confidence.
What is a “Hat League”?
Each session, all players present will be sorted into a new team. All names for each division will be placed in a “hat” to randomly create new teams each week. This allows for players to compete with new teammates each week. Every team will play 3 round robin games and 2 play-off games every week.
NO COACHES OR SPECTATORS ALLOWED ON THE COURT
*To achieve our 3x3 league goals of promoting autonomy, leadership, and confidence amongst girls at a young age, coaches and parents will not be allowed on the court; there will be seating upstairs overlooking the courts.*

CODE OF CONDUCT
*Only players and event staff are allowed on the court. All spectators, including coaches, are to be in the stands.*
By participating in this league as an athlete or spectator, we expect you to show respect to all. This includes respecting the decisions of the league staff – negative communication with players or league staff will not be tolerated. Removal of spectators due to unsportsmanlike behaviour is up to the discretion of the league staff.
Parents/coaches/spectators are NOT allowed on the court to help achieve the league goals of promoting autonomy, leadership, and confidence amongst girls at a young age.
